Posted by Curbona on May 07, 2002 at 08:04:14:We are working with an architect to design an addition off the back of our home. The single-story addition will have a shed roof that ties in to the exiting house. Rather than a perfect 16' x 24' room, one ourside corner of the addition needs to be angled due to setback limitations. This will result in one wall being 11' (vs. 16') and the back wall being 20' (vs. 24').
We know we need a modified hip roof design but we're stuck as to how we can tie this in so that it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Can you offer some ideas as to how we can accomplish this?
