Message - Mechanical Desktop Speed

Currently using Mechanical Desktop 6. When my assemblies get large or I start adding a lot of drawing views the program slows down dramatically. My parts are complicated but not nearly as much as many professionals I'm sure. I'm running Windows XP w/ 1.3 GHz. I've upgraded the ram to 1GB with no noticeable increase in performance. My graphics card is a NVidia GeForce2MX400 w/ 32mb. Will upgrading the graphics card improve the performance or am I doomed by using Mechanical Desktop 6?
