hi dave.i'm a second year architecture student, and i see we have a lot in common. the reason why i chose architecture was again because i felt this feild can be a good way bring out your creativity.
however, similar to your case, if you have little talents in drawing, i hardly have any. At first i thought i'll do all my work using computer but then i found out thats not how you start learning, you learn the basics manually and it takes a couple of years before your allowed to represent you work with computers. and this seriously effected my grades. Teacher expect you to be an artist, be able to express any of your ideas with sketches.
"My weaknesses: I hate doing the same thing over and over again. I get fed up with stupid people"
as for this, architecture is all about redesigning again and again, repeating your drawings until you reach perfection. and if your advisor is not convinced with your ideas or have different taste in art, he'll insisting you change it.
Architecture is the most beautiful of all.
but you need to be flexible and accept corrections.for more information you can e-mail me
